Un manquement de littérature scientifique et professionnel est visible sur le rôle de l’ergothérapeute en oncologie. En pratique, la reconnaissance professionnelle de l’ergothérapeute ne semble pas perçue dans les équipes interdisciplinaires qui l’entourent, mais son rôle reste réel selon certaines études. L’étude a pour objectif d’identifier les moyens mis en place par les ergothérapeutes, afin que leur identité professionnelle soit reconnue au sein des équipes interdisciplinaires en oncologie. Des entretiens semi-directifs ont été menés auprès d’ergothérapeute exerçant en oncologie. Les données ont été traitées selon une analyse descriptive et thématique. Des quatre entretiens émergent différents résultats. La promotion de l’ergothérapie, l’utilisation de support visuel et la communication au sein des équipes facilitent la reconnaissance et la passation d’information sur les champs de compétences et les champs d’action de chacun. Cependant, cela ne suffit pas toujours pour promouvoir le métier d’ergothérapeute car il change souvent en fonction de différents domaines et de structures. À partir des résultats, une veille professionnelle pour chaque professionnel de santé pourrait être utile pour partager des informations et reconnaître ces professionnels. Cette recherche permet une ouverture sur la place et le rôle de l’ergothérapeute en oncologie. De nouvelles recherches peuvent être nécessaires à ce sujet, afin d’améliorer cette reconnaissance du rôle de l’ergothérapeute en oncologie.

There is a lack of scientific and professional literature on the role of occupational therapists in
oncology. In practice, the professional recognition of occupational therapists does not seem to
be perceived in the interdisciplinary teams that surround them, but their role remains real
according to certain studies. The aim of this study is to identify the ways in which occupational
therapists ensure that their professional identity is recognized within interdisciplinary oncology
teams. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with occupational therapists working in
oncology. Data were processed using descriptive and thematic analysis. Various findings
emerged from the four interviews. The promotion of occupational therapy, the use of visual
aids and communication within teams facilitate recognition and the passing on of information
about each other's areas of expertise and fields of action. However, this is not always enough
to promote the profession of occupational therapist, as it often changes according to different
fields and structures. Based on the results, a professional watch for each healthcare professional
could be useful for sharing information and recognizing these professionals. This research
provides an insight into the place and role of occupational therapists in oncology. Further
research may be needed on this subject, to improve recognition of the role of occupational
