Ergothérapeute, interprète et patient atteint de surdicécité : Complexité d’une relation triangulaire à 6 mains

Contexte : La surdicécité secondaire de type A est un handicap rare. L’hétérogénéité de celle-ci, ainsi que les nombreuses difficultés qu’elle engendre au quotidien, entrainent un questionnement constant.
Problématique : Cette étude interroge la mise en place de la collaboration interprofessionnelle entre l’ergothérapeute et l’interprète et son impact sur la relation thérapeutique entre l’ergothérapeute et le patient ayant une surdicécité secondaire de type A lors de la prise en soin en ergothérapie.
Méthodologie : Des entretiens semi-directifs individuels avec 4 ergothérapeutes travaillant ou ayant travaillé auprès de ces patients et qui ont eu au moins une expérience avec un interprète sont prévus.
Conclusion : Cette étude permet donc de prendre en compte la complexité de la mise en place de la relation thérapeutique due à la barrière de la communication. Elle permet également de prendre en considération l’apport de l’interprète en ergothérapie.

  • Background : The secondary deafblindness type A is a rare disability. Its heterogeneity and the numerous difficulties it causes in daily living, generate a constant questioning.
    Problematic : This study questions the setting up of interprofessional collaboration between an occupational therapist and an interpreter and its impact on the therapeutic relationship between the occupational therapist and the patient with secondary deafblindness type A during occupational therapy care.
    Methods : Semi-directive individual interviews with 4 occupational therapists working or having worked with these patients and who have had at least one experience with an interpreter are planned.
    Conclusion : Therefore, this study allows to take into account the complexity of setting up of therapeutic relationship due to communication barriers. It also allows to take into consideration the contribution of the interpreter in occupational therapy.
