Les sciences de l’occupation explicitées par Elizabeth Yerxa à la fin des années 80, ainsi que l’approche centrée sur la personne décrite par Carl Rogers orientent l’ergothérapie vers une nouvelle perspective : promouvoir l’occupation (ACE, 1997, 2002). Le patient est replacé au centre de la prise en soins, avec comme objectif principal qu’il participe davantage aux décisions concernant sa santé. De nouveaux outils sont apparus, comme la MCRO, Mesure Canadienne du Rendement Occupationnel, afin de mettre en pratique ces nouveaux concepts. Malgré cela, il existe peu d’études sur la mise en pratique de cet outil en France avec les enfants. L’objectif de ce mémoire est de montrer l’impact de l’utilisation de la MCRO en pédiatrie. Les résultats de cette étude se baseront sur six entretiens d’ergothérapeutes utilisant cet outil avec les enfants.

Occupational sciences articulated by Elizabeth Yerxa at the end of the 1980s, as well as the person-centered approach described by Carl Rogers, led occupational therapy to a new perspective which is promoting occupation (ACE, 1997, 2002). The patient is relocated to the center of the taking care, with a main objective for the patient to be more involved in his health decisions. New tools have appeared, such as the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM), to put these new concepts into practice. Despite this, there are few studies on the implementation of this tool in France with children. The purpose of this dissertation is to show the impact of using COPM in pediatrics. The results of this study will be based on six interviews of occupational therapists using this tool with children.
