Introduction : Le nombre important d’enfants prématurés est un enjeu de santé publique en
France. L’Association Nationale des Ergothérapeutes en France a publié en janvier 2020, une
prise de position pour montrer les actions de l’ergothérapeute dans le programme des 1000
jours. La place des parents est primordiale dans cet accompagnement. On s’intéresse donc au
coaching parental et plus particulièrement à l’Occupational Performance Coaching. Objectif :
L’objectif de cette recherche est de savoir si l’Occupational Performance Coaching peut servir
à accompagner les familles d’enfants prématurés dans le cadre d’une prise en charge en
ergothérapie. Méthode : La recherche d’éléments concrets pour la mise en place d’un coaching
parental dans le parcours de soins de l’enfant prématuré en France par le recueil d’expériences
et l’échange entre des professionnels grâce à la méthode du focus groupe. Conclusion : La mise
en place de coaching parental en ergothérapie est possible avec la mise en place d’une approche
centrée sur la famille, un accompagnement bienveillant et un engagement de la part des
professionnels. La réalisation de formations spécifiques et complémentaires sont nécessaires
aux ergothérapeutes pour exercer auprès de cette population qui demande des connaissances
ciblées. L’Occupational performance coaching apporte un cadre pour la mise en place de
coaching parental.

Introduction: The large number of premature children is a public health issue in France. The
National Association of Occupational Therapists in France published in January 2020, a
position paper to show the actions of the occupational therapist in the 1000 days program. The
place of the parents is essential in this support. We are therefore interested in parental coaching
and more specifically in Occupational Performance Coaching. Objective: The objective of this
research is to know if Occupational Performance Coaching can be used to accompany families
of premature children in the context of occupational therapy. Method: The search for concrete
elements for the implementation of parental coaching in the care of the premature child in
France by collecting experiences and exchanging between professionals using the focus group
method. Conclusion: The implementation of parental coaching in occupational therapy is
possible with the implementation of a family-centered approach, a benevolent accompaniment
and a commitment from the professionals. Specific and complementary training is necessary
for occupational therapists to practice with this population, which requires targeted knowledge.
Occupational performance coaching provides a framework for the implementation of parental
