Les changements climatiques représentent une forte menace pour la
santé de la population. L’ergothérapeute, ayant un rôle dans la lutte contre la crise
écologique, ce mémoire d’initiation à la recherche explore les leviers et les freins que
les ergothérapeutes français rencontrent à travers la mise en place d’une pratique
professionnelle durable. En effet, peu d’études ont été réalisées à ce sujet. Afin
d’atteindre cet objectif, une méthodologie qualitative basée sur une approche
hypothético-déductive a été employée pour mener une enquête en ligne auprès de
38 ergothérapeutes exerçant en France. Cette étude a permis d’identifier des leviers
et des freins portant notamment sur l’identité professionnelle de l’ergothérapeute
ainsi que sur les obligations légales des structures de soin. Les résultats obtenus
dans cette étude fournissent aux ergothérapeutes et aux établissements des
solutions concrètes pour adopter une démarche durable.

Climate change poses a significant threat to public health. As occupational
therapists have a role in addressing the ecological crisis, this dissertation explores
the factors that influence and hinder French occupational therapists in implementing
sustainable professional practices. However, few studies have been conducted on
this subject. To achieve this objective, a qualitative methodology based on a
hypothetico-deductive approach was employed to conduct an online survey with 38
occupational therapists practicing in France. This study identified various factors,
including the professional identity of occupational therapists and the legal obligations
of healthcare facilities, as both facilitators and barriers. The findings of this study
provide practical solutions to occupational therapists and institutions for adopting
