  • Nowadays, the occupational therapy practice is occupation-focused. It is then considered as topdown, in opposition to bottom-up approach, wich is disease-focused. The occupational therapy
intervention process, described by Anne Fisher, draws on this approach in order to offer a support of
quality. To this end, the occupational therapist has in particular one priviliged therapeutic means :
the activity. There are various types, which all have a more or less important therapeutic power:
analytical activity, functional activity, ecological activity and meaningfull activity. Although the last
one is put upfront, analytical activities, related to bottom-up approach, are still being used in
practice. This study is then looking into the place of analytical activities in the occupational therapy
intervention process in rehabilitation, but also into their hypothetical therapeutic power. The
objective of this study is to grasp interests and limits of this type of activities. A questionnaire has
been suggested to different occupational therapists working in rehabilitation in order to collect their
opinion about this subject. After this investigation, it seems that their opinions are strongly divided
