  • Technical Assistance – Printer 3D – Occupational Therapist – Participation - Appropriation
  • Involvement and being an « actor » in care is a topical issue. Therapeutic engagement has great potential. On the other hand, occupational therapists create compensatory objects to help the person participate in his or her environment. Therefore, it would be interesting to involve the person in the development of their own technical assistance.
The purpose of the study is to establish the links between the person's participation in his or her care and the appropriation of the compensatory object created. Thus, we rely on a new technological tool, used since then by occupational therapists; the 3D printer.
The study focuses on the professional posture, the methods used and the person's participation in the process of developing technical assistance. Thus, various qualitative interviews were conducted with occupational therapists and an engineer. All these professionals seem to observe a link between involvement, motivation and appropriation of the compensatory object created using the 3D printing tool.
