Contexte: L’addiction est la conjonction de plusieurs facteurs liés à l’individu, au produit et à l’environnement. Ce processus à des répercussions sociales et médicales importantes. En France, l’ergothérapie se développe dans les différentes structures d’accompagnement en addictologie afin de proposer un suivi thérapeutique qui contribue au changement de comportement avec, parmi d’autres moyens, l’activité.
Objectif: L’objectif de ce mémoire est de montrer que la mise en place, par un ergothérapeute, de la thérapie assistée par l’animal, plus particulièrement avec le chien, est pertinente au soutien de l’engagement et de l’observance des soins pour les personnes présentant un trouble de l’usage lié à un produit psychoactif.
Méthode: Nous avons réalisé une étude qualitative en menant deux entretiens semi-dirigés avec un ergothérapeute travaillant en addictologie et un autre pratiquant la thérapie assistée par l’animal avec un chien. Les données qualitatives collectées ont été analysées selon une matrice.

Context: Addiction is mainly due to a combination of different factors related to a person, a
product and the environment. This process has important social ant medical consequences. In
France, occupational therapy is growing in many organization proposing assistance for people
with substance use disorder, in order to offer a therapeutic follow-up which helps the change of behavior with, among other tools, the activity.
Objective: This essay aims to show that the use of animal assisted therapy, especially with
dogs, by an occupational therapist, is relevant for support of the engagement and compliance of the care for people of has substance use disorder.
Method: We conducted a quantitative study by interviewing two occupational therapists. The first one working in addictology, the other one practicing animal assisted therapy, with a dog.
