  • In France, the number of homeless people has increased about 50% in ten years. Homelessness is a health and social issue. The process of transition from homelessness to housing is complicated due to occupational problems. Government has adopted a five years program to resolve homelessness by promoting housing assistance schemes. Occupationnal therapist bring occupationnal opportunities for homeless people to solve their situation. This dissertation’s goal is to understand how occupationnal therapists can facilitate home return via the model of human occupation. For this purpose, a hypothetical-deductive reasoning is used. Interviews are planned with occupationnal therapists who are working with homeless people for housing transition. However, the population of occupational therapists is restricted in this field. That’s why qualitative approach is used. The innovative aspect of the subject represents both this work’s strength and limits.
