L’ergothérapie est en plein essor en France. Cette évolution est également perceptible dans la pratique où, un changement de paradigme tend vers une approche davantage centrée sur la personne et basée sur ses occupations : le paradigme occupationnel. La question soulevée dans cette étude porte sur l’analyse des éléments facilitateurs ou obstacles à cet engagement occupationnel en EHPAD chez les ergothérapeutes diplômés sous l’arrêté du 5 juillet 2010 relatif au diplôme d’Etat d’ergothérapeute. L’analyse de trois entretiens semi-directifs nous ont permis de mettre en évidence ces facteurs en adoptant une approche basée sur le modèle PEO (Personne Environnement Occupation). Ainsi les résultats obtenus permettent de mettre en exergue différents freins et facilitateurs relatifs à la personne, son environnement, et l’occupation en ergothérapie. Cette étude offre une perspective d’analyse de la pratique ergothérapique pouvant amener à davantage de recherche sur ce sujet.

Occupational therapy has an increasing development in France. This evolution can also be perceived in practice where a paradigm shift tends towards an approach that is more centered on the person and based on their occupations: the occupational paradigm. The question raised in this study relates to the analysis of the facilitating elements or obstacles to this occupational engagement in nursing homes among graduated occupational therapists under the decree of July 5, 2010 relating to the state diploma of occupational therapist. The analysis of three semi-structured interviews allowed us to highlight these factors by adopting an approach based on the PEO (Person Environment Occupation) model. Thus, the results found enabled us to emphasize various hindrances and facilitators relating to the person, their environment, and the occupation in occupational therapy. This study offers a perspective of analysis of occupational therapy practice that may lead to further research on this subject.
