Introduction : La schizophrénie est une pathologie psychiatrique chronique qui impact le cours de la vie de la personne. Cette étude a pour objectif de comprendre l’intérêt de la médiation musicale dans la pratique de l’ergothérapie, afin de permettre la réinsertion sociale des personnes atteintes de la schizophrénie. Les habilités sociales de ces personnes sont altérées ce qui engendre des difficultés à appartenir à un groupe. Des instruments de musique joueraient un rôle dans la favorisation de l’insertion sociale.
Méthode : Pour cette étude, une méthode de recherche qualitative est utilisée. Elle est basée sur quatre entretiens semi-directifs avec des ergothérapeutes utilisant la médiation musicale en groupe avec comme objectif la réinsertion sociale dans leur prise en soin. Pour évaluer la pratique actuelle, une analyse longitudinale et transversale ont été effectuées.
Résultats : Les résultats ont montré que les instruments de musique les plus accessibles pour les personnes schizophrènes sont les percussions. Il a été montré qu’ils permettent de rythmer le quotidien de la personne et de créer des interactions sociales. Pratiquer la musique en groupe initie le travail de la réinsertion sociale par la création de lien avec soi puis avec autrui qui engage un système de communication entre les personnes composant le groupe. Le large potentiel thérapeutique de la musique est un réel atout pour la pratique ergothérapique en santé mentale.
Conclusion : L’objectif de réinsertion sociale en santé mentale est un objectif commun à plusieurs professionnels de santé. Or, la vision holistique des ergothérapeutes apporte un regard propre à leur pratique permettant de favoriser la vie en société des personnes. L’utilisation des instruments de musique sont pertinents pour la création de lien de soi à soi et avec autrui. Le travail de l’ergothérapeute sur la réinsertion sociale est donc pertinent pour la population cible. Il va favoriser la qualité de vie sociale des schizophrènes.

Introduction : Schizophrenia is a chronic psychiatric pathology that impacts the course of a person's life. The aim of this study is to to understand the value of musical mediation in the occupational therapy practice, in order to enable the social reintegration of people affected by schizophrenia. The social skills of this people are impaired, causing difficulties in belonging to a group. Musical instruments would play a role in promoting social integration.
Method : For this study a qualitative research method is used. It is based on four semi-structured interviews with occupational therapists using music mediation in groups with the aim of social reintegration in their care. In order to evaluate the current practice a longitudinal and cross-sectional analysis were carried out.
Results: The results showed that the most accessible musical instruments for people with schizophrenia are percussion instruments. It has been shown that they provide a rythm to the person's daily life and create social interactions. Practising music in a group initiates the work of social reintegration through the creation of a link with oneself and then with others, which engages a system of communication between the people making up the group. The extensive therapeutic potential of music is a real asset for occupational therapy practice in mental health.
Conclusion : The objective of social reintegration in mental health is a goal shared by many health professionals. However, the holistic vision of occupational therapists brings a specific perspective to their practice, enabling them to promote the social life of the people. The use of musical instruments is pertinent for the creation of a link with oneself to oneself and others. The occupational therapist's work on social reintegration is therefore relevant for the target population. It will promote the schizophrenic’s social quality of life. - IFE NEVERS
