Les rôles occupationnels définissent ce que nous sommes en tant que personne et nous identifient en tant qu’époux, parent, etc. La littérature met en avant qu’un évènement dans le parcours de vie peut venir impacter l’exercice des rôles occupationnels. Dans l’objectif de les redéfinir en structure, ce travail questionne les moyens qu’utilisent les ergothérapeutes pour à la fois respecter la temporalité du patient, incluant le processus de deuil, ainsi que celle de l’établissement, comprenant la durée d’hospitalisation. Pour y répondre et avec une approche qualitative, cinq entretiens semi-dirigés ont été réalisés auprès d’ergothérapeutes Diplômés d’Etat travaillant dans un Soins de Suite et Réadaptation (SSR). Les résultats mettent en avant la nécessité que les patients attribuent une « priorité » sur la redéfinition de leurs rôles occupationnels et d’« accepter » ceux perdus. Les patients peuvent ainsi « se projeter » dans leur parcours de soin. Des recherches seraient pertinentes à réaliser à propos de structures telles que Comète France qui assure la prise en soin à la fois intra et extrahospitalière.

Occupational roles define who we are as people and identify us as spouses, parents. Literature outlines that an event in the life can have an impact on occupational roles. In the aim of redefining them in a facility, this work surveys the means used by occupational therapists to respect both patients’ temporality, including the mourning process, as well as the facility, including the length of hospitalization. In order to address this question, five semi-structured interviews were conducted with State Certified occupational therapists working in a Continuing Care and Rehabilitation Unit (CCR). Findings emphasized the need for patients "to prioritize" the redefinition of their occupational roles and "to accept" those lost. This allowed patients "to project" themselves into their care pathway. Research would be relevant to perform in structures such as Comète France which provides the care both in and out of hospital care.
